General Foreperson - The Batte Pole Line General Foreperson is responsible for assisting in job planning, job set up, job execution, coordinating crew and subcontractor crews and ensuring completion of return data upon job completion. Responsibilities: Assist in overseeing transmission operations and management of crew members Assist in full-cycle project management of transmission projects including pre-planning to determine resources required and coordination of equipment and crew members Assists in determining the best method of delivering transmission services with the utmost consideration for safety, high quality, and service excellence Responsible for managing relationships with key customers, partners, crew members and all other related stakeholders Frequently liaison and communicate with the Operations Division and related divisions Investigate and resolve customer complaints, issues, and problems, and coordinate with others, internally and externally, as needed to ensure customer satisfaction Stakeholder communication including formal reporting on progress and the attainment of milestones on specific jobs and projects Working with Project Delivery Team members as required to satisfy client requirements for job execution. Sub Foreperson - The Batte Pole Line Sub Foreperson will assist in overseeing the construction, installation, rearrangement, maintenance, operation, removal and inspection of electrical power transmission, distribution systems, and communication networks. The Sub Foreperson helps ensure a safe working environment for all. Responsibilities: Assist in managing the day-to-day activities of field crews, ensuring safety is a top priority. Assist in overseeing the installation, repair, troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical distribution and transmission systems including overhead power lines and cables, insulators, conductors, switches, transformers and other associated equipment. Assist in the erection and maintenance of steel, wood and concrete poles, towers, and guy wires. Serve as a mentor to all junior crew members and apprentices. Prepare and submit required documentation and ensure compliance to corporate safety, quality and operational processes, standard operating practices, and targets. Stakeholder communication including formal reporting on progress of jobs and projects. Qualifications and Requirements Interprovincial Red Seal Powerline Technician Certificate is required. Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum two (2) years’ experience as a Certified Powerline Technician. Completion of post-secondary program in a related field is an asset. Preferred Valid Class DZ/AZ driver’s license Demonstrated ability to lead and effectively work with team and mentor others. Red Seal Journeyperson Powerline Technician Key Responsibilities: Install, repair, and maintain overhead and underground power distribution and transmission lines, including poles, conductors, insulators, transformers, and other equipment. Conduct inspections and assessments of power lines to identify defects, damage, or signs of wear and tear requiring repair or replacement. Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as storms, accidents, or equipment failures, to restore power and minimize disruptions to customers. Adhere to safety protocols, procedures, and regulations governing the operation and maintenance of electrical power systems. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe work practices to prevent accidents, injuries, and electrical hazards while working with high-voltage electricity. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment inventory for compliance and accountability purposes. Collaborate with colleagues, supervisors, and other stakeholders to coordinate work schedules, prioritize tasks, and address operational challenges effectively. Communicate technical information, progress updates, and safety instructions clearly and professionally to team members and external parties. Participate in training programs, workshops, and continuing education opportunities to enhance technical skills, knowledge of industry best practices, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Mentor and support apprentices, trainees, and new hires in developing proficiency and competence in powerline maintenance and operations. Qualifications: Completion of Powerline Technician Apprenticeship. Journeyman Powerline Technician Certificate and Interprovincial Red Seal Certificate Experience working in the electrical utility industry, specifically in powerline construction, maintenance, or repair Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for powerline installation and maintenance tasks. Physical stamina, dexterity, and ability to work at heights, in varying weather conditions, and in confined spaces. Valid driver's license and clean driving record required. Apply Today! Civil Construction Foreperson - The role will support a wide variety of projects consisting of, but not limited to, underground utilities, site development, telecommunications and power. Batte is seeking an individual that has a strong willingness to learn and adapt to the changing environment of a construction site. This individual must be motivated and possess great leadership skills. They must be detail oriented, with a desire to produce quality work. This position is career oriented. Responsibilities of this position would include, but are not limited to: Managing the daily activities of the crew and construction site. Communicating with and organizing sub-contractors. Ensuring the safety and well being of all crew members and that all safety policies are followed. Ensuring each project is finished on-time and on-budget. Completing daily reports, time and materials submittals, toolbox meetings, etc. Ensuring that all company policies are adhered to. Requirements for this position are: A minimum of 5 years of construction supervisory experience is an asset, but not a requirement. Valid driver's license. Knowledge in heavy equipment is an asset, but not a requirement. Individual must be motivated, a self starter and possess great leadership skills.
